Hello, my name is Elizabeth but you can call me Liz! I have been an animal enthusiast my whole life and grew up knowing working with animals would turn into my career path. I am blessed to say that I have owned a dog most of my life, and know the joys, adventure, and companionship of being a dog owner. I am such a sucker for puppy love. After becoming a certified groomer in 2015, I have worked at a few salons, all with the goal of one day opening up my own business. The journey has been long but worthwhile. I have made friends, gotten tips, worked to perfect my craft, and learned cutting edge techniques, all while keeping the same joy and enthusiasm for what I do.
I understand that dogs are not just pets, but become family. It brings a smile to my face to think that everyday when I step out from home, whether for a minute or a hour, my German Shepard is so excited to see me every time I get back. Day after day, never failing, that pup is waiting for me to get home and ALWAYS excited to see me. It gives me that little bump I need after a hard day. That is just one of the reasons, why I promise my best, and treat every dog like my own. I know every pup in my care gives their parents something to smile about everyday. That is what dogs do for us!
I wake up every day knowing that I am doing something I love, which is why I take so much pride in my work. Through resiliency, hard work, and determination, I look forward to making House of Paws a wide spread known name for dog grooming in the Logan Square/Chicago area! So stop on in, I look forward to meeting you and your pup!

Eli has a passion for cats, dogs, and continued education. He has worked around the country learning new techniques and attending seminars throughout his decade-long career. He is certified with the AKC, completed Pet First Aid & CPR with both Barkleigh and The Red Cross, and more!
